Patrick McMurray

Patrick McMurray most recently served as the Massachusetts Undersecretary for Homeland Security. Pat was appointed by Governor Baker to serve as the National Security Advisor (NSA) for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts representing the Secretary of Public Safety & Governor. In this role Pat managed all homeland security issues including terrorism investigations against the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, managed the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency, the State Police Fusion Center, the Department of Fire Services, the Massachusetts National Guard, and supervised all homeland security grants.

Pat previously served as managing director of executive protection at JP Morgan Chase in New York and Vice President for Corporate Security and Executive Protection at Caesar’s Entertainment in Las Vegas

Pat spent 25 years in the U.S Secret Service where he was a supervisory special agent in the Boston Field Office, overseeing intelligence investigations, supervising the training of protective details and managing the Cyber & Electronic Computer Crimes Task Force and Forensics Laboratory. Prior to his assignment in Boston, Pat served as the special agent in charge and country attache in Ottawa, Canada, in the role, Pat served as the Chief Liaison between Canadian Law Enforcement and the U.S State Department, in this role Pat was tasked with ensuring the United States Embassy and Ambassador to Canada after the 9/11 attacks on the United States.

Pat spent many years in Washington, DC in a variety of assignments, including Senior Special Agent on the Presidential Protection Detail (PPD) where Pat was tasked with developing and executing executive protection plans, venue and event security around the world, protective intelligence, and dealing with the highest level of security matters to ensure a safe and secure environment for the President and other protectees.
